Schlitterbahn Waterpark Corpus Christi TX North Padre Island scheduled to open in June 2014.
Update from Schlitterbahn’s Jeff Henry during the KKTX-AM’s Lago in the Morning March 10, 2014. According to Henry, describing the main building, each of the four levels will have floor to ceiling glass and large patios. The doors on each floor will open to allow the facility to be open air during nice weather – the first floor will have 25 such doors. Below is a video showing the main building which is still under construction. High winds and lots of rain have not slowed crews down!
According to Henry, the first floor will be used for family dining, the second floor is specifically for locals, the third floor has conference rooms for meetings and social gatherings and the fourth floor, which overlooks the entire Island, will be used for fine dining.
Did you know … Guest can bring your own food and drinks into the park! The only two things they don’t allow are alcohol and glass.
